Instructions for Wearing a Mask Correctly
According to the latest recommendation of the Ministry of Health, people do not necessarily need to wear masks at all times because it can cause confusion and discomfort. The Ministry of Health also specifies the following cases when it is necessary to wear a mask to prevent acute respiratory infections caused by Covid-19:

• When contacting, taking care of people infected or suspected of being infected with Covid-19.
• When caring for or in close contact with someone who has symptoms of a respiratory illness such as cough, difficulty breathing, runny nose, etc.
• When assigned to self-monitor, isolate at home or when visiting, examining and treating at medical examination and treatment establishments.
• Healthy people without respiratory symptoms only need to wear cloth masks when going to crowded areas, on public transport.

What is the correct way to wear a mask?

Masks only work to prevent disease if used correctly. Wearing a mask the wrong way not only wastes money, but also loses its protective effect, increasing the risk of disease transmission. Here are some recommendations of the Ministry of Health on wearing masks properly to prevent the spread of Covid-19 as well as other diseases:

• Do not wear face masks upside down. For medical masks, wear the darker side out, the lighter side t facing in, the aluminum clip facing up. When wearing, must cover both nose and mouth.
• Do not touch the mask surface with your hands while wearing it.
• Do not remove the mask when communicating, coughing or sneezing in public.
• When removing the mask, just hold the ear strap to remove it.
• Do not use a dirty mask. For medical masks, use only once and then dispose of them in a safe, covered trash can. For cloth masks, it is recommended to wash the mask daily with soap for the next use.​
