Point:
- Esophagitis.
- Acute and chronic gastritis.
- Peptic ulcer.
- Stomach irritation, acid excess syndromes such as burning, heartburn and acid secretion.
Dosage - how to use:
- Use pure or mixed with a little water
- Adults: 1-2 packs x 2-3 times / day, drink between meals or when uncomfortable.
Contraindications: Hypersensitivity to aluminum or aluminum products
Side effects:
Common: constipation.
- Notify doctor undesirable effects encountered when using the drug.
Drug interactions:
- Antacids may increase or decrease the rate and extent of absorption of concomitant drugs, by altering the time of gastrointestinal transit or complexing with drugs.
Antacids reduce the absorption of drugs: digoxin, indomethacin, iron salts, isoniazid, clodiazepoxide, naproxen.
- Antacids increase the absorption of dicumarol, pseudoephedrine, diazepam.
- Antacids increase urine pH, reduce the excretion of drugs that are weak bases, increase the excretion of drugs that are weak acids (amphetamine, quinidine are weak bases, aspirin is weak acid).
Careful:
- Avoid long-term high-dose treatment in patients with kidney failure.
Pregnant women: Antacids are generally considered safe, as long as long-term high doses are avoided.
- Breastfeeding women: although a small amount of aluminum is excreted in milk, the concentration is not enough to harm the nursing baby.
- The impact of drugs while driving and operating machinery: the drug does not affect the ability to drive and use machines.
